The topic of digitalization in the field of education is one of the most relevant, since digital technologies surround us everywhere. The XXI century was marked by the transition of mankind to a new type of society – information, in which digital technologies occupy a special place

Digitalization is a ubiquitous process of spreading and introducing digital technologies into various spheres of society: economy, culture, education, etc.

Digitalization in education is the process of transition to an electronic learning system. The legal basis for the initiation and implementation of digitalization in the field of education are:

Federal Law of 29.12.2012 No. 273-FZ "On Education in the Russian Federation". It secured the right of educational organizations to use various digital educational technologies in their activities.

Improving the skills and abilities of teachers in the field of digital technologies

Teachers will have to master a new education system. Over time, this profession will undergo significant changes. Digitalization of education provides for independent study and mastering of the material, so the teacher will now act as an assistant, who will be contacted only when absolutely necessary.

Development of material infrastructure

Training sessions, diaries, magazines will switch to an online format. Students will be able to attend classes without even leaving home, the Internet will help them in this. Electronic resources will be used instead of the tradition textbooks. Educational institutions will be equipped with modern technologies: computers and other gadgets, interactive whiteboards, projectors

Development of online learning, implementation of digital programs.

The introduction of digital educational technologies does not imply the complete abolition of traditional classes in schools, institutes, colleges. Currently, we are talking only about the inclusion of some elements of online learning in the educational process. It is planned to introduce a mixed learning format, this will increase the effectiveness of teaching, develop students' sense of responsibility, self-discipline.

It should also be noted about the main positive and negative sides of digitalization of education.

Such an innovation has gained a certain reputation among students who highlight such a positive aspect as a convenience, namely saving time. The second positive feature turned out to be practical, since electronic media do not have the property of tearing or somehow spoiling. The third positive feature for students turned out to be physical convenience, since carrying heavy books is burdensome. The fourth positive characteristic is mobility, since education is available at any time. Well, the last positive aspect is economic feasibility, expressed in reducing the cost of purchasing educational literature and reducing the amount of deforestation, which is necessary for the manufacture of paper media.

But such an innovation also has a number of negative aspects that can affect not only the physical health of students, but also the psychological state of each of the students. Firstly, with digital learning, less attention is paid for writing, which can lead to a decrease in students' student skills, that is, they will begin to read worse, and this will also affect their motor skills and coordination, namely, a decrease in the ability to formulate thoughts. Secondly, prolonged exposure to screens leads to eye fatigue. This will inevitably lead to vision problems. Thirdly, there will be a risk of reducing the creative potential of students, a decrease in mental activity, poor socialization, as well as problems with physical development, etc. All this will inevitably lead to a negative attitude towards the digitalization of education, despite the fact that it has enough advantages. The main and most alarming disadvantage of this program is the deterioration of the physical and mental health of children, who are the future of our country.

Adding up, we note that digitalization in education is a long and inevitable process. All the advantages and disadvantages of introducing a digital system into the educational process can be assessed only after several decades. Years later, the entire structure of education will undergo changes. And time will tell what impact digitalization will have on the education sector.
