The task of installing a dual-fuel system on the engine is to increase environmental and economic indicators, reduce loads on engine parts and increase its service life.

Cars are one of the key elements in the modern world. Its condition and development prospects depend to a great extent on the possibilities of supplying fuel to transport power plants. Depletion of reserves of liquid hydrocarbon fuels and the impending problems of environmental pollution force humanity to think about an alternative – either to reduce transport movements, or to find new sources of energy supply for transport.

At the beginning of the second millennium, a sharp reduction in industrial production led to a decrease in the amount of pollutants and toxic substances released into the air. However, the number of vehicles in Russia has been growing rapidly over the past decades. Therefore, the ecological situation in our country has not become more favorable.

At the same time, there are problems with oil production. Already explored oil fields are being depleted every year, and the search for new ones requires technological innovations and solutions. The economic situation in this area is also unstable: a decrease in investment against the background of the same decline in oil prices; a ban on some production methods (for example, hydraulic fracturing) and some other factors.

And although extensive work is currently underway to solve these problems, the role of petroleum products and oil in the Russian economy is declining.

The main advantages of the two fuel systems are:

-independence from natural gas and in case of depletion of its entire reserve, it is possible to operate the engine only on diesel fuel;

-efficiency due to substitution with another type of fuel;

-reduction of emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere.

Before installing such a system, it is necessary to choose the type of additional working gas in advance, because not only the design of the entire equipment, but also the performance characteristics of the entire engine will depend on it.
