Knowledge of foreign languages not only develops our mental abilities, but also significantly increases the chances of getting a prestigious job and making a career. In the modern and dynamic world, you can safely forget about clubbing, because there are much more unusual, and most importantly, effective ways to learn a foreign language. Consider a few of them.

1) Full immersion. This method is difficult to call new and modern, because it was proposed back in the 19th century by the linguist and teacher Maximilian Berlitz. The meaning of this method is to completely "immerse" in the role of a foreigner who speaks the language being studied. Translation, tips and even textbooks should be forgotten. You can even come up with a new name and biography! A kind of role-playing game, only very effective. In addition, to the foreign language, the student receives an excellent opportunity to develop his social and theatrical skills. Berlitz was sure that the method of complete immersion contributes to the disclosure of the student's true potential.

2) Eduteinment. The word "education" comes from two English words "education" - "education" and "entertainment" - "entertainment." It will not be a great surprise to anyone that during training (not only in a foreign language) various "entertaining" receivers have long been used: watching films during classes, interactive excursions in galleries and museums, educational and entertainment videos, even various computer games... Anything related in one way or another to unhappy learning. Of course, you should not rely only on "entertainment," because training is a piece of work. But if you feel that you have lost all motivation, you are unimaginably bored and you are a step away from throwing everything halfway, which can be better and more effective than adding positive emotions to the process of gaining knowledge? In addition, it is said that through various "entertainment" the student establishes a special emotional connection with the subject being studied.

3) 25 frame method. American businessman James Vicari, known for founding the theory of the 25th frame, also argued that his theory can be very effective in studying foreign languages. He believed that it would be very useful for students to watch a film in a foreign language, in which the same 25th frame would appear every 90-100 milliseconds, directly heading into the subconscious. Unfortunately, this method has not been recognized by scientific communities, although until now some language schools express their sincere interest in it and even offer to test it.

4) Emotional drawing. This method, although slightly limited and more suitable for the youngest students, is very effective. This method is based on the concept of emotional memory, thanks to which a person remembers most of the information. Everything is very simple - students simply draw pictures and sign them in the language they are learning. But there's one point. During drawing, you need to think about what exactly you draw. So the material will be absorbed much better and faster.

5) Sound association method. Professor Ron Atkinson at Stanford University in the 70s offered students such an original version of remembering - in tune with familiar and famous words in their native language. With a selected word or a combination of several words, you need to draw up an association sentence that includes translation. For example, if the phrase "chess kick" in English is "chess knock" (consonant with Russian "garlic"), then the sentences for remembering may be: "He struck a chess kick and ate garlic." The method is convenient from the point of view of an individual approach and the need to think freely, rather than blindly. Of course, it will not be possible to fully learn the language without learning, but this method will be a good help for replenishing vocabulary.

6) Communicative method. To replace the boring study of languages in the textbook comes the most effective method for memorizing words and suppressing the language barrier - communicative. In fact, this technique did not even have to be invented - initially, the exchange of knowledge with a neighboring tribe took place at the level of live contact, non-verbal communication, gestures and facial expressions. Learning the language by contacting the medium is much easier and faster. In the training process, it makes sense to break into groups or work in pairs, regardless of the level of knowledge and vocabulary. A variant of this technique is the introduction of theatrical scenes, playing and discussing plots. With the advent of modern means of communication, the task has been simplified doubly - wherever you are, you can always find a friend from the other end of the planet and practice language learning by talking on Skype.

7) Physical response method. This original method was developed by Professor of Psychology James J. Asher of the University of San Jose. The method is based on the natural process of cognition, and Asher suggests learning additional languages in the same way as his native. The first few classes, the student only listens to foreign speech, and he is not required to respond orally or answer questions. Any reaction can take place at the physical level of gestures. Thus, there is a period of internationalization, in which a person is already able to spontaneously respond to and participate in processes taking place in a foreign language. Initially, the method did not receive the support of scientific communities, but in the 70s interest in it resumed, and now it is successfully used in the study of the language. True, only those who have enough time for the first 20 lessons of silent participation.

Conclusion. The English learning methods, described above, will help you significantly increase the effectiveness of your actions and improve your skills. It is also not worth using any of these methods separately from the others, because borrowing different elements from each a person will be able to achieve the maximum result.
