The cold war between Russia and the United States began a long time ago. It flared and faded. It became even more acute after the situation in Ukraine in 2016. Despite this, this "war" did not grow beyond political differences. The purpose of this article is to show the differences between the US and Russian armies, in a humorous way, based on news and media sources.

Let's start with the military, who serve in the army of both countries. As a rule, everyone thinks that in the Russian army serve severe, serious and fearless people. For example, construction battalion, stroybat, in Russia – soldiers who do not have to have weapons for war. As one of the American journalists said, «The Russians have such troops - airborne. One their soldier is worthy of two ours. That’s nothing. They have Marines there. One their soldier is worthy of three ours. But the worst. Their construction site is called consruction battalion. So those animals aren’t even given weapons». «The Russians have the fastest tanks, the most powerful bombs, the best planes! They are animals that even machines do not issue». [1]

In the US army, soldiers are very fond of chewing gum, Cola, and the original names of military operations: «the American army is also the most capricious. They like very much chewing gum, Coca-Cola. And the US army is also the most creative: soldiers will never go on their operation if it doesn’t have a cool name. You know how they like «desert Storm», don’t you? What else is there?» Typhoon in the Savannah», «draught in the forest», «breeze in the swamp». But they like more, when naming animals is used. Like in the movies, do you remember? Operation «pet’s hibernation», or «monkey anger», «stuffed worm». It’s the American Army». [2]

Also, it is worth considering education and life in the army of both countries. There is a good example.

«Once American and Russian generals met. Russian General says:

– Our soldier in the daily diet is supposed to consume 2000 calories!

that American replies:

– And the American soldier consumes 4500 calories daily!

- Yes, this can not be!

- No seriously, this is the norm, which is calculated by our doctors.

- Oh, come on, I'm telling you that this can not be!

- Why can't it be done???

-Well, can not the course of the day include an entire bag of oatmeal.»

In fact, much depends on the diet and daily routine. Now we all understand why our military is strong and slender, and the Americans are fat.[3] Also, the Russian army creates its own equipment, weapons, etc. The Americans, as we know, buy most of their weapons from countries with more developed military industry. Just imagine the picture:

«The Chinese military, which penetrated the us reconnaissance aircraft, will be pleasantly surprised to find that the secret equipment on Board is made in China!»[2]

But don't underestimate the American military.

By tradition, existing in the US army, who received the first officer's rank should give the dollar to the first soldier who saluted him. One General, invited to a military University for the solemn ceremony of dedication of cadets to officers, congratulated all the newly made second lieutenants standing in the ranks, and gave them the honor, thus earning $ 200» [3]

As we can see, the war between Russia and America is even in humor. We all underestimate each other. Despite all this, it is worth calling both sides to peace, because there is nothing more fun, better than a peaceful sky over the heads of the inhabitants of both countries.
