Soil stabilization is a process of thoroughly grinding and mixing the soil with the corresponding inorganic binders (cement or lime), add them in a proportion of 5-10% by weight, followed by compaction.

In the process of construction and operation of engineering structures on foundations composed of soft soils, inevitably there is a problem of increasing their bearing capacity and reducing deformability. To overcome these difficulties in engineering practice, various soil strengthening methods are used.

Soil stabilization technology is used in the following construction:

- repair and reconstruction of existing roads;

- during the construction of roads of IV – V category;

- temporary, technological, auxiliary and dirt roads;

- sidewalks, park, pedestrian and bicycle paths;

- parking lots, parking lots, warehouse and shopping centers and terminals when creating solid foundations for the construction of facilities of various categories;

- landfills and hazardous substances;

- bases for the installation of industrial floors and paving slabs;

- grounds for railroad tracks.

The technology of soil stabilization with a liquid stabilizer is characterized by high physicomechanical parameters of fortified soils, low cost of work performed, ease of use of technology, and environmental safety of the material. Various types of natural soils with clay particles from 5% to 80% are applicable to the work. The stabilizer is a universal preparation that can be used both independently and in combination with other inorganic or organic substances during work. This formula is suitable for the construction of roads adapted to any weather and climatic conditions.

Soil stabilizer from organic-mineral mixtures is the main element of the soil stabilization process. It is a surfactant. The stabilizer creates new crystalline bonds from macro and micro elements found in the soil through chemical reactions. The process of polymerization of substances in the soil repeats the natural formation of rocks.

Soil strengthening materials

Liquid stabilizer for road construction

The main advantages of ANT:

- high physico-chemical and physico-mechanical properties

- low consumption and low processing cost

- simplification of stabilization technology and soil strengthening process:

lack of need for soil care

resumption of traffic immediately after treatment

lack of need to eliminate deformation fonts

- Environmentally friendly.

The drug "ANT" is completely environmentally friendly and does not have a harmful effect on the environment. When using the ANT stabilizer, technical personnel do not need to use additional protection. Also, the drug is safe for technology.

The ANT stabilizer has a low material consumption (1 liter per 7.5 m3 of pavement layer). The drug is used in the form of an aqueous solution. The required amount of fluid is calculated depending on the moisture content of the soil and the amount needed for optimal soil compaction. Of course, the calculations should take into account climatic features, the actual amount of water in the soil, the type of soil, combination with cement.

To reduce consumption, but increase the strength of reinforced soils, "ANT" should be used with organic and inorganic binders. The ANT formula provides high-quality merging of additional materials with soil, and ensures uniform distribution of substances in fortified soil.

Using Chimston Stabilizer

When an aqueous solution of the Chimston stabilizer is introduced into clay soil, an irreversible change in the physical and mechanical properties of the soil is ensured due to chemical action, by ionic replacement of film water on the surface of dusty particles with stabilizer molecules that have a water-repellent effect. Film water, as a result of compaction of the treated clay soil, is easily removed from it, and this layer is transferred to a non-porous state and can be used as a working layer.

Application Advantage:

- Decrease in estimated cost of road-building works from 30% - up to 70%;

- Reducing the timing of work by more than 50%;

- Stability in acidic and alkaline environments 100% environmental safety;

Nicoflok polymer

Nicoflok - a polymer additive that works together with cement, obtained on the basis of redispersible polymer powders and mineral fillers, provides an increase in strength characteristics and elastic modulus compared to conventional cement primer.

MODIFIER FOR ROAD AND AERODROME CONSTRUCTION "DORTSEM DS-1"

The DorTsem DS-1 modifier is a powdery substance of light gray (gray) color, based on alkaline earth metals and synthetic zeolites, supplemented with an activator and intended for use in conjunction with cement binder as an additive in road, airfield, industrial and civil construction .

With the use of DorTsem DS-1, the crystallization mechanism is fundamentally changed. Water is retained in the soil to be strengthened, allowing cement particles, including those located in the internal structures of the cement paste, to fully realize the properties of the hydraulic “binder” due to the completion of hydrolysis and hydration processes, which allows more complete use of the entire volume of cement without an “empty outlet” (usually , "Empty yield" of cement up to 35-40%). At the same time, the consumption of process water is significantly reduced, which provides higher crack resistance of the structural layer of reinforced soil.

The modifier enhances and increases the strength and flexibility of hardened soils at the molecular level, modifies and expands the chemical composition of the cement hydration process. In this case, a long-needle nanocrystalline structure is formed in the strengthened soil, forming a larger number of crystals and corresponding crystalline matrices filling the pores and “interlacing” particles and soil aggregates that “braid” all the elements. By strength, they are like Kevlar threads (durable and flexible). Due to this, durable, wear-resistant structures are obtained.

As a result, a monolithic hydrophobic slab of the pavement foundation is created with very high long-term performance characteristics, significantly exceeding all indicators of the sand and gravel base.

LBS - liquid silicate-polymer soil stabilizer

When an aqueous solution of LBS is introduced into the soil, an irreversible change in the physicomechanical properties of the soil is ensured due to chemical action, by ionic substitution of film water on the surface of dusty particles by stabilizer molecules that have a water-repellent effect. The soil treated with the stabilizer becomes more durable and practically waterproof, which makes it resistant to all climatic conditions. Cohesive soils after exposure to LBS pass into the category of non-porous or slightly porous and non-swellable or slightly swellable. The elastic modulus for soils (from sandy loamy sand to heavy loam) stabilized by LBS reaches 160–180 MPa. Such soils also have higher indicators of shear stability compared to unstabilized soils in the dry state.
