Cardiff University is one of the top 20 higher education institutions in the UK, it was founded in 1883 in the city center of Wales. More than 30,000 students study here. Education is provided not only to students from the UK, but also to foreign students. Highly qualified teachers-practitioners work with students at the University. Each of them is a specialist in the relevant field of activity. Teachers use traditional and original teaching methods, practice an interdisciplinary approach to the transfer of academic knowledge.

The academic staff of the University includes at least 2500 teachers. At the same time, some of the teachers are foreign specialists. The school has an international exchange program, through which students have the opportunity to learn in other countries. Now, the University of Cardiff is ranked 5th among educational institutions in the UK in the ranking of research quality. The University takes care of its students and provides them with limitless opportunities. Higher educational establishment has 16 libraries and 25 computer rooms, some of which are open around the clock. All international students get a place in the hostel. In addition, all undergraduate and graduate students are provided with a free foreign language course.

The social life of Cardiff University students is rich and varied. The University has more than 140 political, social and cultural societies (unions). The Union includes more than a hundred different societies regulated by students themselves. Such societies help to fulfill dreams, expand the horizons of their opportunities, travel, develop and interact. The First friends and acquaintances on interests at University appear thanks to the Union of students. A rich student life is provided for every student. Students are offered trips to Cardiff and other cities of Britain, creative electives, entertainment activities - from discos to large-scale shows. Special attention is paid to sports at the University. At Cardiff University, there are 60 sports teams and clubs.

Two campuses represent Cardiff University infrastructure: in Heath Park and Kateyz Park. On their territory, there are educational buildings with modern classrooms, laboratories, libraries, student unions occupying separate buildings, public, and sports facilities. In addition, the infrastructure of the University includes 14 residences. Each is no more than 2 km from the campus. Now the University is carrying out the largest modernization in its history, investing in new buildings and infrastructure 600 million pounds.

Cardiff University is divided into three main faculties: biomedical Sciences, engineering and physics and Humanities, which include various schools and Sciences according to experts, the best areas can be considered: "Arts and Humanities", "Engineering and technology", "life Sciences and medicine", "Natural Sciences", "Social Sciences and management", "Chemistry", "computer Science".

In addition to a well-deserved academic reputation, the institution has a very good reputation among employers around the world and especially in the UK. However, education is not cheap. Teaching in undergraduate cost is approximately

23 000 USD per year. To get an education on master's programs at this University costs 23 500 USD per year of study. Despite this, University students can qualify for financial assistance from the institution. In addition, today the educational institution offers students the opportunity to get education remotely. This format is also very popular among students. To enter Cardiff University you need not only money, but also knowledge of the English language, and you need to pass difficult entrance exams.

The University has produced a number of notable alumni including European Commission President Roy Jenkins, Jordanian Prime Minister Faisal al-Fayez and Nobel prize-winning chemist Martin Evans.
