DEVICE FOR POWER SUPPLY REMOTE CONTROL

At present data transmission technologies have been widely used. It is possible to be connected to the Internet practically in every part on the globe. That is why solutions of remote control problems become available for most of consumers.

There is a lot of such decisions from simple «smart» Wi-fi sockets to the control systems of all communications in the house, office, any other buildings. The Smart home system, for example, includes control elements which accept signals from sensors and control the operation of any devices.

The purpose of this work is development of the device for power supply remote control with capability control of currents and voltage and overload protection.

The developed device must meet the following requirements:

Switching of AC current 220V 50Hz

Two channels of electric devices control

The access to interface device control must be implemented through HTTP through Internet

Current and voltage control

Short circuit protection, undervoltage and overvoltage protection

The developed block diagram of device includes the following blocks:

High voltage input block

Power supply block

Мicrocontroller (MCU)

Relay and sensors block

Network controller module

The input mains voltage enters on the high voltage input block, which provides filtration and short circuit protection. The power supply forms all voltages, which are necessary for the circuit operation. The relay and sensor block switches the load on and off, and also block controls the consumable current and input voltage.

The microcontroller controls relay, receives and processes current and voltage data, realizes the user interaction interface. .Network controller provides Internet connection with device.

The device test board has been created. STM32F103C8 has been chosen as the most popular and available microcontroller. As a network controller was applied ENC28J60. The switching power supply unit with an output voltage of 12 V and a separate converter with an output voltage of 3.3 V are necessary for power supply. Current transformers are used to control the current, and an optocoupler is used to control the mains voltage.The software has been developed for the device operation. It’s program for STM32F103C8 microcontroller. The program realizes HTTP server for communication with user, communicates the microcontroller with the network controller, polls the ADC for current and voltage control, and controls power channels. The Program has been written on the C programming language using CooCox IDE.
