At the oil refineries, two main production sewerage systems are envisaged:1) To divert and purify oil-containing neutral production and production-storm sewage. In this case, the corresponding sewage of the majority of process units arrives in a single sewerage network: from condensation condensers and scrubbers (except barometric capacitors on atmospheric vacuum tubes), from drainage devices of apparatuses, pumps and tanks (excluding raw materials).
2) For treatment of surface (thawed and storm water) in the enterprise, there are surface runoff treatment facilities. The characteristics of surface runoff from the refinery are given in Table 1. Surface run-offs of the refinery carry sand, suspended solids of various nature, including floating and emulsified petroleum products. Due to the periodicity of precipitation and a significant variation in their intensity, the contamination of surface waters varies widely, so storm ponds, in addition to the functions of the drain battery, act as purification facilities [1]

Thus, due to the inability to discharge sanitary biochemical wastewater into the body of water, it is necessary to further purify them in biological ponds, microfilters, sand filters, etc.To eliminate the shortcomings of the existing methods of sewage treatment of oil refineries, the technology of effective wastewater treatment with the use of pressure flotation and post-treatment from suspended solids, on cartridge filters has been proposed.
