As World Health Organization states that annually, about 10% of deaths and 15% of disabilities are caused by traffic accidents, burns, and falls or drowning all over the world. People aged from 15 to 45 mainly die because of injuries which result in millions of emergency appeals. The World First Aid Day has been held in many countries every second Saturday in September since 2000. The national organizations, which are the members of The International Federation of Red Cross, initiated this holiday. First aid purpose is carrying out essential elementary medical actions to save person`s life and prevent possible complications. First aid is especially efficient within the «golden hour», as compensatory body functions with sudden and major injuries effectively provide its stable health status, facilitate decrease of complications, insure high survival rate. In developed countries, there are a lot of training programs for people. About 8,5 million of people in the USA are taught first aid techniques by the American Red Cross. Moreover, such professional organizations as American Heart Assosiation and American College of Emergency Physicians also educate people. Economic damage provoked by traumatism in Russian Federation is approximately 2,7 times higher than the one produced by the rest of diseases. Usually employable people are affected by injuries, intoxication and accidents. The society makes huge losses due to both expenditures on their education and lost profits in gross domestic product. Up to 70% of people die at the prehospital stage. Besides half of people could be saved if first aid was well-timed.

To sum up, training people to implement first aid techniques is a topical question, because injury rate has been leading among mortality and disability rate in our country for decades.
