Religious buildings have numerous peculiarities. They express the relationship with the cultural traditions and spiritual values, and are bright and stylistically diverse in its architecture, they are objects of cultural heritage.

One method of preserving the architecture of religious buildings is mummification. Museum-temple is considered to be the only a monument, a mummy museum when the funds of museum interpretation aimed at the disclosure of the value of the monument. Churches, adapted by foreign exposure and which are not related to monuments, museums, are not considered to be churches. There are a lot of examples of mummy museum monuments:

Assumption Cathedral in Vladimir is an outstanding monument of white-stone architecture of pre-Mongol Russia. In the church there are regular services. The rest time it is opened as a museum exhibition. The cathedral was built in the middle of the XII century, in time of Prince Andrew Bogoliubsky. It is one of the few temples in which the original frescoes are preserved made by Andrei Rublev.

Demetrius Cathedral in Vladimir is one of the most remarkable monuments of Russian Middle Ages, built in the 1190s. The cathedral is famous for its white-stone carvings - its walls are decorated with 600 reliefs depicting saints, real and mythic animals. Most reliefs are preserved in their original form, some were replaced during the restoration of the XIX century.

Church of the Saviour on Ilyin Street in Novgorod was built in 1374. This is a classic example of the republican period of Novgorod architecture. World famous temple brought paintings of the famous Theophanes the Greek. This is the only temple frescoes of the Byzantine masters painted about 40 churches in the world. Murals of the church are unique and unforgettable expressive characteristics of different characters. A bold, free brushwork gives the sound a grand temple.

Mummification monument is primarily a means to preserve it. Therefore, the prerequisite of mummification should be absolute respect to the monument and its careful maintenance.
