Eldar Aleksandrovich Ryazanov (18 November 1927, Samara — November 30, 2015, Moscow) — Soviet and Russian film Director, screenwriter, poet, playwright, teacher, Professor. People's artist of USSR (1984). Laureate of the State prize of the USSR (1977) and the State prize of the RSFSR behalf of the Vasilyev brothers (1979).

Youth

Eldar Ryazanov was born in Samara in the family of the Soviet trade mission in Tehran workers Semenovich Alexander Ryazanov and of Sophia Mikhailovna Ryazanova (where parents and sisters mother lived) (née Shusterman, 1902-1969), in a house on Frunze Street, 120.

The first works

In 1950 Eldar Ryazanov graduated VGIK, his diploma work, which received an excellent rating, was the documentary film "They learn in Moscow", taken together with classmate ZP St. Thomas. Over 5 years Ryazanov worked documentary cinema to the Central Documentary Film Studio. He was shooting scenes for newsreels "Pioneer", "Soviet Sport", "News", has mounted several issues entirely. He also made a newsreel "of October Road" (with L. Derbysheva, 1951), "In the World Chess Championship" (1951), "Your book" (with ZP St. Thomas), "far from Krasnodar" (both 1953 ), "Sakhalin Island" (with VV Katanyanom, 1954).

In 1955 he became director Ryazanov "Mosfilm" and set (with Sergey Gurov) the first Soviet wide-screen movie-review "Voices of Spring", which were playing episodes. A year later, the head of the studio "Mosfilm" IA Pyryev literally forced to undertake Ryazanov comedy. The film "Carnival Night" (1956) was a huge success. In the next few years Ryazanov has put the lyrical comedy "The Girl Without an Address" (1957), a heroic comedy, "Hussar Ballad" (1962), domestic comedy "Give plaintive book" (1964), the eccentric comedy "Unbelievable Adventures of Italians in Russia" (1973) . And in 1961 he made two satirical tape: "How was Robinson" (in the eponymous story by I. Ilf and Petrov, the story in a comedy anthology "Quite seriously") and "Nowhere Man" (1961, in the office almost went iz prohibition of censorship). In "Nowhere Man" were Sergey and Anatoly Jurassic Papanov.

1980-1990-ies

In 1980-1990-ies Ryazanov worked as intensively as before. He was the co-writer of many of his films, written several plays, published a number of books. In 1979-1985 worked Ryazanov as a leading TV program "Kinopanorama", author and Director of which was Xenia Marinina. In addition, they created more than 200 original TV programs. The most popular TV series: "Eight maids, one I", "snow white and the seven dwarfs," "Conversations in open air", "let's Talk about strangenesses of love" (a series about famous people), "the mysteries of Paris by Eldar Ryazanov (ORT)" (in this series came out, in particular, Ryazanov interview with Jean Marais). He was a member of the jury at the final game of the Higher League of KVN 1987.

XXI century

In 2002, E. A. Ryazanov became the President of the Russian Academy of cinema arts "Nika".

23 Jan 2005 opened the cinema club Eldar Ryazanov. A club conceived, in the words of the piece as a kind of center of Patriotic Comedy. In three halls, the largest of which accommodates more than five hundred places, go to movies and plays, are creative meetings, concerts.

Eldar Ryazanov has taught at the Higher courses of scriptwriters and film Directors (among his students — the Directors Y. B. Mamin, V. I. DYKHOVICHNY, E. Tsymbal, I. Friedberg).

He was a member was founded in 1990 of the Union of cinematographers of Russia. In 2010 Ryazanov was one of the founders of Kinosoyuz.

Illness and death

In 2010 and 2011 Eldar Ryazanov has undergone heart surgery and since then has repeatedly hospitalized. At the end of 2014, doctors diagnosed Director acute violation of cerebral circulation, in early August of 2015 he suffered a heart attack, which, as reported by the media, led to pulmonary edema. 6 October 2015, the Director was hospitalized in the intensive care unit of Moscow city clinical hospital № 1 named. His birthday is November 18, Eldar Ryazanov met at home, but the 21st was admitted to hospital. In the night from 29 to 30 November Eldar Ryazanov has died in hospital in Moscow at the age of 88 from congestive heart failure.

Farewell to Eldar Ryazanov was held 3 December at the Central House of writers, the same day he was buried at the Novodevichy cemetery in Moscow.

Deputies of the state Duma from fraction "Fair Russia" Mikhail Serdyuk and Alexander Ageev, continuing public debate about the renaming of the metro station "Voykovskaya", sent to the mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin, the proposal to assign the name of Eldar Ryazanov. Public position

In an interview with radio station "Echo of Moscow" in 2011, Eldar Ryazanov gave a mostly positive assessment of the activities and personality of Boris Yeltsin, and the biggest mistake of ex-President called the appointment of Vladimir Putin as his successor. In the same year, together with other cultural figures and human rights activists have signed an open letter demanding the repeal of the "unconstitutional ban on registration of new parties" and to allow for the elections all political forces in the country.

Urged Muscovites to take part in protests against the Federal law № 272 banning the adoption of Russian children by U.S. citizens. In 2014, among other filmmakers the Director had signed published "Kinosoyuz" an open letter condemning "the Russian military intervention in Ukraine" and "unprecedented anti-Ukrainian campaign unleashed by Russian state TV," and also took part in the "Congress of intelligentsia against war, self-isolation of Russia and restoration of totalitarianism".

For many years Ryazanov has been consistently in defense of animals: the adoption of relevant Federal law, the investigation of facts of ill-treatment, the creation of circuses without numbers with training. Support the candidacy of the environmental activist Yevgenia Chirikova in the mayoral election in Khimki 2012.
