My favorite actor is Sergey Sergeevich Bodrov. Bodrov was an actor, a great director and screenwriter. By himself, Sergey Sergeevich was a very interesting, intelligent and relatively simple person.

Since childhood Bodrov was different from other children. He loved solitude and «perfectly treated with himself». Many publications write that Bodrov a childhood dream to become a driver of a garbage truck and to drive to the orange car. Despite it, in school days the role of the standard-bearer has been assigned to him and he perfectly coped with these duties. In 2012 at school No. 1265 with profound studying of French the memorial board of Sergey Sergeyevich Bodrov was established.

Sergey has grown up in very creative family; The Father, Sergey Bodrov Sr. is the famous film director. Mother is an art critic, the teacher of MSU. It is possible to tell that Bodrov Jr. was a live embodiment of two parents.

Bodrov wanted to enter to the VGIK, dreamed to connect the life with cinema, but the father hasn't approved his choice though he himself has been connected with the film industry, having proved it by the fact that all his thirst for cinema art is only passion, and it is necessary either to wait, or to forget about it forever. Sergey hasn't gone counter to destiny, hasn't disobeyed the father, without having felt in himself this passion, and for a while left the plan. And in 1989 he entered to Lomonosov Moscow State University on department of History and Theory of Arts Faculty of History. Specializing in painting of the Venetian Renaissance, Bodrov has graduated from the university with the diploma with honors and remained in a postgraduate study, to increasing the level of knowledge in the field of History of arts. But at this time he resolved for himself: he won't begin to work neither in the museum nor in library. His true calling was in another. And here in 1998 being already famous actor and the TV host it successfully protects doctor's on the subject "Architecture in the Venetian Painting of Renaissance". Now many consider that education – a useless thing. However Bodrov considered that he has got a culturological education not in vain. It has helped him to see beauty in simple things, in all world surrounding him. On Bodrov's course considered the lucky, since 1991 he begins to study Italy, in the same place he trebles for work as the rescuer and by that has collected the sum to travel all over the world.

After that the career of the great director, the actor and the screenwriter Sergey Bodrov began. Probably he felt that passion about which the father told when that. He also helped him to start a career in area of cinema. Bodrov Jr. received small bit parts in movies of the father.

He acted in such movies as "I hate you" (1986), "the SIR (Freedom is paradise)" (1989) and "The white king, the red queen" (1992). In these movies Bodrov Jr. played the juvenile violator in a dirty uniform expecting the fate near the main character, the messenger door-keeper delivering mail in hotel. From these small steps the big genius in the history of cinema began to be born.

The celebrity to Bodrov Jr. was brought by the role received absolutely incidentally. In 1995 Sergey's father has planned large filming of the movie "Caucasian Captive" in Dagestan. Sergey has thrust with him, assuring that he will be ready to perform any work, if only the father has taken him with himself. So, unexpectedly for himself Bodrov has received one of leading roles in the movie — the conscript Vanya Zhilin — the partner of Oleg Menshikov who in this movie has played a role of the contract employee Alexander Ryapolov.

This role opened a way for Sergey Bodrov, he received directly several awards respected in a film world. Among them a prize for the best role together with O. Menshikov at a film festival to Sochi, a prize of the film press for the best role together with F. Abdraimov and the prize for the best actor's debut at the Baltic Pearl festival, became, together with the father, the winner of the State award of the Russian Federation of 1997 in the field of literature and art. Though Sergey Bodrov never called himself the actor, the role was for him not a profession, but a deed.

The movie won prize FIPRESSI at the Cannes Film Festival, the Grand Prix at a festival in Sochi, the Grand Prix "The crystal globe" and a prize of ecumenical jury at a festival in Karlovy Vary, the award "Felix" for the best scenario, a prize of the Russian film press for the best movie of year, the Grand Prix "Stalker" of the Stalker film festival in Moscow, a prize of spectator sympathies at a festival in Sydney.

Since October, 1996 Bodrov becomes the TV host of the "Look" program where worked four years. The program helped people, children who unsuccessfully write letters to Father Frost. To Bodrov the case with the red-hair fellow who has very much asked Father Frost help his brother who has lost a wind pipe … Sergey left transfer with strong feeling that she taught him to something. He said that it is necessary to help people.

During the film festival in Sochi in 1996 Sergey meets the director Alexey Balabanov. This acquaintance has laid the foundation for filming of the movie "Brother". Balabanov fetch him on studio of STV where the film has been shot. The premiere came out 1997, Sergey has played the main role - Danila Bagrov. But the movie has sparked the mass of criticism from media at once. They accused him of racism and russophobia. Bodrov protected the hero, telling that despite the plainness, simplicity, he understood more than the others, and lead war in which it is better not to interfere if you can't get up in ranks of soldiers. Also Bodrov spoke about somebody sense of patriotism in the movie - feelings of unity with people with whom you live in one country. Here it is shown in simple ideology of Danila Bagrov – a celebration of justice, mutual aid of the Russian people in heavy time. The movie has really turned out very picturesque, immersing in the atmosphere of the 90th where people went on the most terrible crimes to be chosen upward. Movie advantages nevertheless have been recognized, and "Brother" has received the Grand Prix at the Sochi festival, a special prize of jury and prize FIPRESSI at the international festival in Turin, the same awards in Cottbus, the Grand Prix in Trieste. Sergey Bodrov won a prize for Best Actor at a film festival in Sochi and to Chicago and the award "Gold Aries". The huge number of the audience fell in love with the movie, for many of them Danila Bagrov became a hero and an ideal. Compositions of Nautilus Pompilius to which also Sergey liked to listen became incidental music to this film.

Also in 1997 Sergey Bodrov married the colleague Svetlana Mikhalkova, the author of teleprojects "Shark pen" and "Canon". A year later they had had a daughter Olga, and in four years – son Alexander.

Despite not positive the relations of media on the first part of "Brother", in 2000 was published a new part - "The Brother-2". Directors said that the idea of the movie has come from a joke. Sergey Bodrov has again seemed on screens as Danila Bagrov. The movie has caused again the sea of criticism from media which have again accused it of racism. Wrote that "the Brother - 2" threatens national security, and offend the Ukrainian and American nations. Authors of the movie were accused even of restoration of the left ideology (because of use of the Chapayevsk machine gun in filming). Bodrov has commented on an insult to the American nation so: "We didn't try to show in the movie that all Americans are bad, we on the contrary tried to show that we - not stupid. It is rather simple thought, it is strange that it is clear not to all. And at cinema it was necessary to sound in too bright way just because this cinema. At cinema everything has to be a little exaggerated. Americans shoot film about Russians where Schwarzenegger militiaman tears off the Mafioso a wooden leg, from it drugs pour, and the streets are walked by bears. That is we are full fools! So why we have no right to joke of Americans?" Despite sharp words in Bodrov's lexicon it showed in his pictures what many were afraid to show. It was really dangerous to remove it in the years of Cold War, already tense relations could become aggravated even more. Despite it, among public the movie conceived great success. In 2000 to year there was a movie "As the Brother Acted" the Russobit-M company issued a game in adventure style "the Brother 2: Back to America", the Dana Music studio issued a soundtrack to the movie "Brother", and the Real Records company issued a compact disk with a soundtrack to the second part. In Moscow, in sport center Olympic and in St. Petersburg, in the Ice arena there have taken place concerts at which the songs which have become soundtracks to the movie "Brother 2" were sung.

In free from filming of other movie Sergey wrote scripts to the first movie "Sisters". He has begun to write him from the idea of the father who has shared it with him literally briefly. Bodrov has undertaken to write almost at once, and the scenario was completely ready in two weeks. In four days filming has begun. Originally the movie had other names "Bandit's Daughter", "Dancer of a Stomach" and "Younger".

The plot of a picture represents history of two sisters from different fathers Dina and Sveta. Dina's father is tied in criminal affairs, because of it she was try to be stolen to influence the father. So on shoulders of older - Sveta, the heavy load was put of responsibility for the sister. Behind them hunting begins. Sergey played a bit part because other actor on this place wasn't in the movie. Music to the movie has selected songs of the Cinema and Agatha Christie groups. The premiere of the film has taken place on May 10, 2001.

At a festival in Sochi the movie has received the Grand Prix "For the best debut", and main characters of the film have gained a prize and the diploma of jury "For the best actor's duet". It was the third of the movies which have glorified Bodrov, but here already as the screenwriter.

In July, 2002 Sergey started filming of the second movie to which he write scripted. He characterized the movie so: "a philosophical and mystical parable about life of two friends — these people I spotted in life. They are romantics, travelers, adventurers. Of course, there will be also bandits, hostages, generally, everything that accompanies us in life. The movie is called "Svyaznoy", and I in it as coffee in a bag: three in one — the scriptwriter, the director and I play a major role." It seemed that Bodrov's creativity endured the blossoming, but there was a disaster … The film crew already managed to finish shooting the first part of the movie in women's penal colony of Zelenokumsk.

Early in the morning on September 20, 2002 the Film crew led by Sergey has gone from Vladikavkaz to the Karmadon gorge. Film shoot went all day and when has darkened, all group has gone back to the city. But it wasn't fated it happens … at 20:08 the glacier descent the Kolka suddenly has begun, the ice collapse in several minutes has covered all Karmadon gorge with a 60-meter ice layer and stones. Nobody has managed to escape.

Large-scale rescue efforts were continued several months. The group of relatives of victims and volunteers remained on a glacier till 2004. However many people wasn't revealed, among them and Bodrov's remains. The tragedy in the Karmadon gorge has claimed the life of not just young actor and director, but real hero of the time, the idol of young people loving the husband, the father, the son and the friend. Thousands of admirers can't still reconcile to Sergey Bodrov's death.

Sergey was always a lung on rise and didn't avoid any work, always finished begun. Bodrov was very educated, knew four foreign languages and defense of a thesis, and was proud more than any of the roles. After Bodrov no one be able to shoot such film any more. This person was very original on the nature, very patriotically treated the country and the nation, without hesitating showed minuses and pluses of Russia in his movies. Still his movies are watched and reconsider thousands of people … and won't leave indifferent his roles and films.
