To conform interacting with the PC during the presentation was designed a light pointer. Its main unit comprises webcam-controlled a laser pointer device and a backlight combined in one package. Currently, a positive decision for the patent a "light pointer" has been received.
The invention concerns training aids and support posts at practical classes, lectures, conferences, presentations and so on and can be used when creating new educational aids.
Application of the proposed device will increase the visibility of information, through the ability to display objects at large distances and for larger audiences, the objects located in remote places with poor lighting and hard, invisible without magnification of the objects themselves with simultaneous target designation for the objects or their demonstrated parts and conducting audio soundtrack.
The developed technique allows the instructor online in the classroom to consider, for instance a specific device of any unit or facility, the macrostructure of metal, visual difference of corrosion on real objects, visual difference between viscous and brittle fracture behavior of samples of metals during mechanical testing. The teacher has no need to go to the audience for the demonstration. In this case, the listeners´ attention and interest in the material under study, as the experience has shown while the application of this method is greatly increased.
The product works independently or in combination with interactive whiteboards, seriously expanding their capabilities. In the latter case, the teacher and students can work not only at the board, but from point of the class. Using the possibilities of Internet classes can be carried out, the teachers being in different place, for example, the first one is at the plant and the second one in the lab with the group of students.
